In order to be an effective change agent your leadership cannot be a self promoting act, it must be an act that brings out the best in people by promoting the abilities, knowledge and skills of others without threat. Leadership is collaboration and teamwork that work towards achieving common vision and goals. “Leading with heart” is setting a direction towards the achievement of desired outcomes by creating synergy among team members based on common values, beliefs, vision and goals.

You are invited to discover the essence of heart healthy leadership by spending time with Laurie Hinzman, author of Leadership, the Heart Matters. Her expertise comes from years of observing and documenting effective and non-effective leadership styles in education, business, organizations and sports. Her leadership concepts reflect a culmination of her actual experiences and perspectives as an educational leader and coach that began in 1980. By using the four “R’s”: Revisit, Reflect, Revise and Re-energize (concepts identified in her book) Ms. Hinzman will actively engage participants in offering food for thought in leadership that will produce synergy and desired results within any organization.
